FBuddy SG ("the app", "we", "us", "our") is a job-alert utility for freelancers who work on SproutGigs. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
FBuddy SG is an independent utility and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by SproutGigs or any of its partners.
FBuddy SG has one version, installed from Google Play, and you sign in with your Google account. There is no password to create and no other way to sign in.
We collect only what is needed to sign you in, deliver alerts and support you.
The app does not collect your contacts, location, photos, files, microphone, camera, or any card or bank details, and it does not collect your Google profile picture.
The app shows you two kinds of alert, and neither is about you:
You can buy membership inside the app. Payments are handled by Google Play: Google processes the payment and tells us it succeeded. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. When a purchase succeeds, we keep a record of it — Google’s order number, the plan you bought, the date, and the account it applied to — so that we can add the days you paid for, make sure a purchase is never counted twice, answer questions about a payment, and handle refunds.
Membership can also be switched on for your account by us directly, for example for testers. In that case we keep a record of what was granted and when.
That is the entire use. We do not build advertising profiles, track you across other apps or websites, or share your data with advertisers.
Account data (your name, email address, WhatsApp number, device identifier, push token, membership expiry date and membership type) is stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Cloud Messaging), operated by Google LLC, on servers in India. All data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
Job and employer alerts shown inside the app are public SproutGigs information. They are kept on our server for about 48 hours and are shown on your device for 24 hours, after which they are deleted automatically.
We share data with these providers, and only as much as each needs to do its job:
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone else, and we do not share it with advertisers. We do not share your data with SproutGigs.
We keep your account data for as long as your membership is active. You can delete your account yourself at any time, and it happens immediately.
What deletion removes: your Google account name and email address, your WhatsApp number, your membership expiry date and membership type, your push token and your device identifier. Your sign-in record is deleted as well, so signing in again creates a completely new account. Alerts stop within about a minute. This cannot be undone, and any membership days remaining are lost and are not refunded.
What deletion does not remove: records of memberships granted and payments made. We keep those for accounting and tax purposes and to handle any question or dispute. They are financial records rather than part of your account, they are never used to contact you or to send you alerts, and they contain no card or bank details.

Separately, when a membership simply expires, your push token is removed automatically so alerts stop. The rest of the account stays until you delete it, so that renewing later does not mean starting again.
The app is intended for adult freelancers. It is not directed to, and does not knowingly collect data from, children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at this page's URL, with the effective date above.
